Account Recovery

First, you have multiple log in methods to access your WeChat account. Methods include Log in via password, SMS verification code, and Voiceprint (not available in some regions). If you don't remember your WeChat ID, you can use the mobile number or email address linked to to your WeChat account.

However if you cannot login with any of the above methods, you may need to retrieve your WeChatID or reset your password. Follow the instructions below.

Step 1: In WeChat app Log In screen, choose "Unable to Log In?"

Step 2: If you're recovering a WeChat account, select "Account bound to mobile number outside mainland China."

Step 3: Follow the provided prompts.

Tips: Using a device that the target account has previously logged in to will facilitate the process.
