Personal Data Violation
WeChat is committed to safeguarding the personal data of our users, and we prohibit any conduct which undermines or may undermine the security of our users’ personal data or any rights in relation to such data.
Sharing of personal data without consent
- You may not upload, share, publish, transmit, stream or otherwise make available on or through the WeChat platform any content that shares or solicits the following personal data without the express consent of the subject of such personal data:
a) personally identifiable information (including but not limited to personal identity cards or identification numbers, driving licences or licence plates and passwords, pins or codes to access private information); or
b) other private information (including but not limited to addresses, email addresses and phone numbers, except when shared or solicited to promote charitable causes, find missing people, animals or objects, or contact business service providers).
- If you discover that your personal information has been revealed on the WeChat platform, you may wish to first directly contact the responsible user to request for that user to remove such information. Additionally, you may also report this to us and we will take appropriate actions against the user in accordance with these Community Guidelines and the WeChat Privacy Policy.
